Robert Russell
Executive and Teaching Pastor
Robert is a primary teacher during weekend and weekday services at Celebration Church. He also serves as the Executive Pastor; he oversees and manages the staff of the following ministries: Adult Small Groups, Celebrating Freedom, Children, Counseling, Men, Nursery, Singles, Women, and Youth. Robert also serves as an Elder at Celebration.
Robert is a former Professor at Emory & Henry College and Adjunct Professor at King College. Earlier in his career, he was employed by Eastman Kodak. He earned a B.A. from Emory & Henry College, M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, M.A. in Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Regent University. His doctoral dissertation regarded servant leadership.
Robert and his wife, Michelle, have three children - David, Jonathan, and Abbie. Robert enjoys cycling, racquetball, and snow skiing. His second job is coaching his kids’ soccer and basketball teams.
